No Ordinary Cats

The N.O.C. is a live vocalist and recording group based out of Orlando, FL. When K Sos met K.D. & J.O. through mutual friends in the spring of 2007, neither party had any idea of the ride to follow. Within weeks of their first recordings, Atlanta native Rams was added to complete the lineup. During a brief hiatus from recording in 2008, Rams returned to Atlanta and was introduced to PaRock Productions, whose studio The N.O.C. would birth its first album, DINOSAUR. Meanwhile, back in Orlando K Sos landed himself and K.D. a spot of XL 106.7’s Johnny & Jayde Morning Show, where they performed songs from the upcoming debut and talked about the group’s direction.
Upon completion of DINOSAUR, released on the group’s independent label Skinny Buddha Records, K Sos persuaded Rams to return to Florida to bring their exciting energy to the stage. The group began touring Florida playing venues large and small throughout the state. Along the way they opened for national acts such as Ludacris, Redman & Method Man, Pepper, Curren$y, Whole Wheat Bread & Rookie of the Year. They have christened venues from Jannus Landing to the James Knight Center, Culture Room, Firestone, and everywhere in between.
The group has kept their show exciting through an ever evolving series of mixtapes the group puts out to highlight its individual members. Along the journey they have added a list of characters to their cause including Seattle artist Nicky Beery and Miami native DJ Bre amongst others in a constantly evolving list
In a recent interview K Sos commented on the growing number of recruits…
“It’s been exciting to match our creativity with that of other artists in who are as passionate about their craft as we are about making music. I never would have thought we would have gotten to meet so many talented people along the way, but that’s what keeps it exciting, you sort of push each other to new levels you didn’t always know you had.”
In the fall of 2011, K Sos & Rams relocated to Miami in search of the next move, and a place to record the follow up to their debut album. With a handful of songs already in production, the group hopes to tour to promote their sophomore album “Romans” once it is completed.
Stay Tuned.
